In light of the recent news that garnered the attention of many physiotherapists, HKPA is organizing 2 seminars on physiotherapists’ Code of Practice to let fellow physiotherapists gain a better understanding of it. Each seminar will include an information sharing session and Q&A time. The first seminar will be about advertisements and quotable qualifications; while the second seminar will be on the topic of canvassing.

Speakers: Bronco But

Bronco studied physiotherapy at the then Hong Kong Polytechnic from 1980-1983. After graduation, he was employed by the Medical & Health Department to work as a physiotherapist at various Government Hospitals and Out-patient Departments. He worked as a full-time physiotherapist. After he was off duty, he made use of his spare time to pursue a part-time study of a law degree offered by the University of London. He was awarded LL.B. Degree. In 1988, he resigned as a PT 1 and started his legal career. He was admitted as a solicitor of the High Court of Hong Kong in 1990; had been the partner of a major local solicitors firm for 26 years from 1993-2019. He is now the Consultant of Messrs. Li & Partners. Throughout his past 32 years of legal career, his legal practice has covered, amongst others, medical negligence, disciplinary hearings of Physiotherapy Board, personal injuries, employees’ compensation, traffic accidents, industrial accidents, insurance claims, criminal cases.
